Lesley Cornelisen, Physical Therapist
Hi I’m Lesley Cornelisen. I have been a licensed Physical Therapist for 20 plus years. My career thus far has enabled me to practice I both the areas of inpatient and outpatient physical therapy. This has given me a broader understanding of the continuum of care for surgery or acute injury or illness to the return to life as normal. My approach to patient care focuses on setting goals that are important to my clients with our end goal on returning you to your previous level of activity. We will work together to create a functional exercise plan in combination with manual therapy techniques. I like to utilize a combination of both mobilization, myofascial release, strain/counter strain and muscle energy technique to facilitate your rehab. I am also trained in Kinsesio taping and find it to be a valuable tool for the appropriate patient. I like to incorporate education into the therapy session that focuses on how you take a lead role in managing your pain or injury and how to maintain or improve your overall activity level and fitness.
My husband John and I have been married for 26 years and Minnesota transplants for 23 of those years. Originally from Wisconsin, we are happy to call Minnesota our second home and the place we have raised our four children – Tim, Mitchell, David and Leeann. With two on the road into full-time adulating and two older teenagers, we are enjoying finding new things to do with our time as our nest is emptying. My life’s goal is to work smarter not harder in order to spend more time with my family and friends.
